When you create a listing on the Therapy Register website there is the opportunity to add Tags.
There are several different types of Tags – but let’s talk about the Tags you can add to your listing on Therapy Register and what they do. They are basically short keywords which should be added using no spaces and separated by a comma ie counselling, anxiety, therapy
An example of how the type of Tag above works
Type in Counselling on a browser and you are likely to come up with websites with Counselling in the Main Heading. This is because they have included that word Counselling in their Title or Heading.
Scroll on a few pages in your browser and you will start to see websites appear that not only have Counselling in the title but also in the text or product description.
Simply put, the type of tags that you can add to your listing should be ones that are relevant to your content, services or products. These help Browsers to find the relevant content to present to searchers.
An example of this is:
Our Practice provides a range of counselling services.
Tags would be:
counselling,anxiety,depression,therapy
Of course if you can also include the tags in the heading and in the text then it makes it more relevant and more likely that the Browser will present this to the searcher.
Ie:
Counselling Therapy Services
Our Practice provides a range of counselling therapy services for symptoms such as anxiety or depression.
Finally
You can add tags to your existing listing by selecting edit from your profile.
